On December 4th, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Al-Farabi Science Library of campus of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, the opening of the First International Humanitarian Forum “Mangilik El” national idea: problems of formation of cultural capital in the framework of the state program “The intellectual potential of the country”. The Forum is held on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the UN, the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Human Rights Day. The scientific event is held by the Journalism faculty of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi with the support of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty and the Information Office of the UN in Kazakhstan.
Forum venue: Al-Farabi Scientific Library of campus of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, a conference room №2, 4th floor.
The forum is scheduled a presentation of a number of research, education and innovation projects in the humanities, social and political sciences.
Scientific discussions will take place in the following areas:
“Mangilik el” as an ideological platform
– «Mangilik El” in the system of political, social, cultural and innovative values;
– Creating historical and semiotic artifacts as brand of Independent Kazakhstan;
– Modernization and development of language policy as a main component of Kazakhstani patriotism;
– The development of high humanitarian technologies that define the principles of tolerance and religious equality in Kazakhstan’s society;
– The value of moral and ethical standards, strengthening inter-ethnic relations;
– Intellectual capital and innovation as the main factor of competitiveness of Kazakhstan.
Knowledge Society
– Knowledge society as the driving force of innovation development;
– Intellectual capital and traditional national values;
– The national media system in the digital age;
– Humanitarian technologies as the basis of a society of the future;
– Humanitarian knowledge and its translation into a modern university education.
Humanism and humanization
– Social Media in the management of mass communications;
– The role of the media in covering the humanitarian problems of modern science;
– Humanities capital as part of the brand of the country;
– Political communication and new media platforms.
During the forum, a video message of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon marking the Day of the UN will be heard. United Nations Day is celebrated annually on 24th of October. The decision to establish a holiday was taken in 1948, at the second session of the UN General Assembly. Date of celebration was timed to the day of the entry into force of the UN Charter, adopted in 1945. The following year, all the nations of the world will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the UN.
The forum will include a presentation of the project “UN Radio News in Kazakh”, prepared by the student radio “Al-Farabi” supported by TRC named after M. Barmankulov.
In the period from June 18 to July 2, 2014, in the framework of the state program “The intellectual potential of the country” with the support of the UN Information Office in Kazakhstan and Information UNESCO Office in Almaty, the student scientific expedition “Kazakh eli” of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, organized in honor of the young scientist Aidos Aripbaev, has been doing a research in East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Kostanay, Akmola and Karaganda regions, and the cities of Semei, Aktau and Fort-Shevchenko.
As a result of the expedition a unique “Atlas of historical and semiotic values of the people of Kazakhstan” was made, which will be presented at the Humanitarian Forum. Also, a presentation of cycle monographs published under the foundation of the project grant funding MES of RK is planned.
The forum will be attended by representatives of the UN in Kazakhstan, representatives of the media, professors, scientists and researchers from universities in Poland, Belarus, Russia, students, undergraduates and Ph.D. of universities in Kazakhstan and abroad.
Conference proceedings will be published in a separate collection.
The main condition for publication is to prepare a report to the conference. The Organizing Committee will prepare and release program and compilation of reports to the beginning of the conference. The content of the reports should reflect the theme of the conference.
Date materials is up to 30 November 2014.
Requirements to publications:
1. The text of the report (paper) should be prepared in a volume of no more than 5 pages in the program and MS Word. Tables, charts, drawings shall be with the names and compiled in the form of Windows program.
2. Page Setup: all fields should be 2 cm.
3. Font: Times New Roman, Kz Times New Roman, font size 14.
4. Line spacing 1, Paragraph 1.25 cm.
5. Using the links, you must identify the source. References are shall be at the end of the text according to the rules of the sample. Conclude references in the text into “square” brackets in accordance with the numbering in order of mention. For example, [1, 17].
