May 2, 2013 at the Faculty of Journalism hosted a lecture by a professor at the University of Wyoming (USA) George Albert Gladney, PhD, with which he performed in the higher education institutions in Europe, on the topic:

“The Limits and Purposes of Freedom of Speech and of Press: Lessons from the American Experience”/

“Americans like to think they enjoy the right of free speech and press, but they don’t (and nor does anyone else).”

This lecture respected professor concluded his seminar, which was very useful for students, graduates and teachers of different department’s al-Farabi KazNU.

The professor expressed his interest in the current state of media space in Central Asia.

Visiting professor organized the UNESCO, International Journalism and Public Relations Chair.
